Enjoying work and creative activities based in Shibuya
Shibuya is one of the most vibrant city in Japan.
Shibuya Station is a huge terminal station with multiple lines, and the scrambled crossing in front of the station is a world-renowned landmark in Japan.
The northeastern area of Shibuya leads to Harajuku and Omotesando.
The area is a center of fashion and culture with many young people.
There are some good places to be a third place.
In this article, I will introduce some places where you can spend your time comfortably in Shibuya.
I hope you will be based in those places and enjoy your work and creative activities in the city
What kind of the northeastern area of Shibuya?
The area is on the northeast side of Shibuya Station, between Meiji-dori and Aoyama-dori.
If you go north, you will reach Harajuku Station, and if you go northeast, you will reach Omotesando Station.
Both are about 15 to 20 minutes on foot.
There are many apparel shops and beauty salons in the area, and there are also many nice eatery.
The good place for morning to noon.
VALLEY PARK STAND
It is directly connected to RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK a complex facility and MIYASHITA PARK on its rooftop, visited by many young people.
In the afternoon, the place is crowded with people, but from the time it opens to the morning, there are relatively few people, so you can relax.
The morning sun streams in through the large windows, creating a pleasant, open atmosphere in which to work.
Coffee and panini are available on the morning menu.
Power supply and Wi-Fi are available.

Freeman Cafe
Freeman Cafe is a casual cafe restaurant with an open feel, located on the second floor of a building directly connected to the B1 exit of Shibuya station.
Wi-Fi is available and power supplies are available in many seats, making it a popular place for nomadic workers and creative people.
Because the cafe is crowded with many young people, seating is often limited to two hours.
The place starts to get crowded from 11:00am, when food is served, and stays packed until it closes.
You can enter the restaurant as soon as it opens and relax until around 12:00.

The good place for afternoon to night.
TRUNK LOUNGE
TRUNK LOUNGE is the lounge of the TRUNK HOTEL, a hotel with restaurants, stores, and pop-up spaces.
The lounge is spacious, has a relaxed atmosphere and is easy to spend time in, and is a gathering place for nomadic workers and creators as well as those who enjoy drinks and conversation.
The adjacent pop-up space hosts events, and sophisticated music is always playing.
The space of each seating area is well separated, with some spacious seats for enjoying conversations with many people, others for two people to talk slowly, and others for one person to concentrate on work.
A friendly bartender will serve you drinks.
Power and Wi-Fi are available.

The good place for take a break.
Streamer Coffee Company Shibuya
Streamer Coffee Company is a pioneer of craft coffee in Japan, and the Shibuya location was the first to open in 2010.
Now, they have stores all over Japan.
Not suitable for a long stay, but just right for a 30-minute break with a light snack or an hour of conversation.

RETHINK CAFE SHIBUYA
RETHINK CAFE SHIBUYA is a cafe attached to an electronic cigarette store.
It's not a large store, but it's a good place to take a break from the hustle and bustle.
You can also enjoy a meal such as a salad bowl.
It's not a place to stay for a long time, but it's a good place to grab a quick bite to eat or take a break for half an hour.
You can smoke e-cigarettes, so not recommended for people who don't like smoking, and not available for people under 20 years old.

The good place for eat.
Dōngxī
The restaurant has a bright, glass-walled atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
It is open for a long time from morning to dinner.

Åre
Åre is a cafe-dining restaurant with a quiet atmosphere, facing the opposite side of Meiji-dori.
The open atmosphere of the store was designed by Kengo Kuma's office.
Compared to other restaurants in the area, it is reasonably priced, and can be used daily by users of the shared office in the same building and nearby residents.
The staff is friendly and cheerful, and the atmosphere is comfortable.

I have introduced some of my favorite third places in the northeast area of Shibuya.

Next I want to describe the northwest and south areas of Shibuya.
